Forty eighth grade technology students traveled to Buffalo to tour the Darwin Martin House, designed by world-famous architect, Frank Lloyd Wright.  An engineering marvel with expansive windows and cantilevered roof lines, the Darwin Martin House tour provided an opportunity for the students to look at the house through an engineer's eyes, recognizing how line, color, space and light were used in Wright's unique design.  They also took a brief impromptu bus tour of other examples of Buffalo's renowned architecture, including the Albright-Knox, Richardson Olmstead Complex, The Guaranty Building, Delaware Mansion and City Hall, to name a few.  Mrs. Christina O'Malley, Technology teacher, secured funding for the tour through the Connecting Kids to Parks grant.
