School Resource Officer Has a New Communications Option
Akron Central Schools has rolled out a new Web based program called H.E.L.P.* that is a collaboration between the Akron administration and the ACS School Resource Officers. The Website was modeled off of a similar program at Lancaster Central Schools that was created as a collaboration between Lancaster administration, students and their Resource Officer, Keith Kerl.
The H.E.L.P. Website gives students (and parents) the opportunity to reach out to Officer Koscielniak or Officer Smith via a confidential on-line form available from any computer with internet access. The HELP Website is part of an ongoing plan to promote safety and healthy lifestyles in the Akron Schools. www.akronschools.org/HELP can also be accessed from site shortcuts on the high school and middle school main pages.
