Middle School Guidance & Counseling

Who is a Middle School Counselor?

Middle School Counselors are professionals dedicated to supporting students’ academic, social, and emotional development within the school environment. We collaborate with students to strengthen academic skills, foster self-awareness and empathy, and support healthy peer relationships. As School Counselors, we guide students through problem-solving, decision-making, and conflict resolution processes.

While we are not Mental Health Therapists, we offer short-term, solution-focused counseling sessions, aimed at helping students create action plans and navigate challenges. For students who may need more intensive support, we can connect families with referrals to appropriate resources.

Student Support maintains an open-door policy, encouraging students to visit any time throughout the school year. Students are welcome to stop by and request a pass to meet with the counselor during non-instructional periods, or email the counselor directly for a session.
