Did you know the Akron PTA is continually showing its support for our school?
Here are some great things that the PTA has done for Akron Schools over the years:
- Provides a book for each elementary student at the annual reading carnival
- Provides funding for the end of the year Kindergarten and PreK celebrations
- Sponsors author visits and assemblies
- Annually sponsors the $1,000 "Crystal Tiger" Award to a graduating senior
- Operates Holiday Shoppe for Elementary students
- Hosts monthly movie nights for elementary students and their families
- Operates elementary Scholastic Book Fairs in fall and spring
- Sponsors Nature Ed-Ventures after school science program for Akron Elementary
- Organizes after school Lego Club in the elementary school
- Sponsors PTA Reflections Competition
- Provides a "Letters to Santa" program in the Elementary
- Sponsors Native American Heritage Month activities
- Provides ice cream for the MS field day
- Purchases gift cards for the HS Tiger of the Week program, Elementary and Middle School Character Awards
- Provides quarterly ice cream social for HS academic achievement
- Provides refreshments for NHS induction Ceremony
- Offers a $500 prize for the homecoming ½ court shot
- Funds principal advisory committee lunches
- Provides funding for Grade 8 Graduation Dance
- Sponsors Teacher/Staff/Department appreciation days
