Full-Time
Eight (8.0) hours per day
(12:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Monday – Friday)
Ten months a year

Minimum Hire Rate: $16.50 per hour

Starting Date: February 2, 2026

General Duties:

  • Cleans school buildings
  • Assists with outside work (mowing, clearing snow)
  • Replaces light bulbs, etc.

Special Qualifications:

  • Ability to read, write, and follow multi-step directions
  • Perform moderately heavy physical labor.

SCHOOL PSYCHOLOGIST INTERNSHIP

SCHOOL PSYCHOLOGIST INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITY


The following position is posted in accordance with the negotiated agreement:


POSITION: 1.0 FTE - The Akron Central School District is seeking applicants for a school psychologist intern position for the 2026-2027 school year.

The school psychologist intern will work under the supervision of a tenured
psychologist and the Director of Special Education. The program encompasses
students grades K through 12. The successful candidate will function as a
member of the educational team and will bring specialized knowledge and skills
related to the learning process, techniques of assessment of learning and social
adjustment, and modification of behaviors.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Currently Enrolled in an accredited higher education institution School Psychology program with successful completion of all pre-requisite courses.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • To utilize psychological methods, instruments and techniques to determine learning problems.
  • To produce reports reflecting the results and interpretation of the above instruments to be used by school personnel in determining initial or continued eligibility for Section 504 accommodations or special education services.
  • Communicate with parents regarding psycho-educational reports.
  • Consult with teachers, administrators, support staff and other appropriate personnel regarding student needs.
  • Counsel students using psychological principles and techniques for the purpose of improving communication, socialization, and  achievement.
  • Experience with crisis prevention and intervention preferred.
  • Perform tasks and duties related to the scope, function and role of a school psychologist as requested and/or directed by the supervisor or Director of Special Education.
  • Perform assigned tasks in a timely and efficient manner with a high standard of quality.

START DATE: September 2, 2026

SALARY: Interns will receive compensation in the amount of $25,000.

Football Varsity Coach

COACHING VACANCY - Fall 2026-2027

Position: Football Varsity Coach 

Required Certifications:

1. AED, CPR, First Aid Certification
2. Child Abuse Identification Workshop
3. Concussion Training
4. DASA Training

Preferred Qualifications: Demonstrated ability to work with students in a positive, encouraging and developmental capacity

Duties and Responsibilities:

o Manage and supervise athletic activities. 
o Promote individual growth in athletic skills, teamwork, discipline, respect and sportsmanship.
o Use a variety of coaching/instructional techniques to improve the abilities of athletes.
o Work and coordinate with members of athletic staff to plan and implement program goals.
o Ensure coaches at all levels are working together towards a common goal within the program.
o Promote and recruit all aspects of the football program.
o Implement a regular practice schedule to provide both individual and team development.
o Hold a preseason meeting with all student athletes and parents before the first game.
o Monitor and support student eligibility for extracurricular participation.
o Act as a team representative and promote the sport by communicating with the news media, booster clubs, service clubs, and other organizations.
o Represent the Akron Central School District and the Athletic Program in a professional manner at all times.
o Maintain nondiscriminatory practices in all activities.

Start Date: August 17, 2026

Salary: Compensation as per District/AFA Collective Bargaining Agreement
