Fall 2026 Sports Registration is Now Open!

Akron High School and Middle School have announced the opening of sports registration for the Fall 2026 sports season. Parents of Akron High School or Middle School student athletes participating in a Fall sport at any level, including modified, will need to register their child on the school’s registration platform, Arbiter Sports. Registration is currently open for those wishing to participate in varsity, junior varsity and modified cross-country, field hockey, boys and girls soccer, and volleyball; varsity and modified football, varsity cheerleading and golf.

Arbiter Sports offers an easy, user-friendly way to register athletes for interscholastic sports that is convenient and secure. The system keeps track of information for each Family profile. Information is entered only once for each family member and is good for multiple uses and multiple sports programs. Arbiter Sports also helps the Athletic Department be more administratively efficient and environmentally responsible.

Parents can get to the school’s Arbiter Sports platform by going to akronschools.org/athletics and clicking on SPORTS REGISTRATION from the left navigation menu. The program will guide users through the registration process.

All athletes must be registered prior to the start of fall sport practices. Varsity and modified football practice will begin Monday, August 17, 2026. All other varsity and JV sports will begin on Monday, August 24, 2026 including cheer, boys and girls cross country, field hockey, golf, boys and girls soccer and volleyball. Modified cross country, field hockey, soccer and volleyball will begin on or around the first day of school.

Sports physicals must also be turned in to the school nurse prior to participation in any practices or submitted on the Arbiter Sports webpage.
