ParentSquare is now live for ACS families!

As we shared in June, Akron Central School District is launching a new communication platform called ParentSquare to help keep you informed, connected, and engaged with your child’s school experience.
ParentSquare brings all school and classroom communication into one place and offers translation into your preferred language. You’ll receive information from our school via email and text automatically, even if you don’t register. However, parents and guardians who register and create an account will have access to additional features, including:
- Two-way communication with teachers, staff, and your child(ren)
- Forms, permission slips, and digital signatures
- Conference and volunteer sign-ups
- School and classroom calendars
- Photos, posts, and announcements
- The ability to customize your notification preferences
When you’ll receive account information
Earlier today, you should have received an email and text with information to set up your account. It would have looked similar to the graphic below.
We strongly recommend creating an account to get the most out of your experience. As you get started, you may find this video helpful in learning to navigate the platform: Parent & Guarding Training (1:44 minutes). You can access ParentSquare through the free mobile app (iOS and Android) or in your web browser by visiting www.parentsquare.com.
StudentSquare, the student-facing version of ParentSquare, will be rolled out to students in grades 6-12 in the first two weeks of school. Students will be able to message their teachers and guardians through this feature, as well as receive school-related information. This function will replace the ThinkTech add-on previously used for parent-student communication.
Once registered, you will have access to communication with school staff. Please keep in mind that our faculty and teaching staff are currently on summer break and will return on September 1st. While you are welcome to set up your account and explore the platform now, teachers will not be checking or responding to messages prior to September 1st.
