Deadline set for requests for non-public school transportation.

Requests for non-public school transportation for the 2025-26 school year must be made to the Akron Central School District Office by April 1, 2025.

Akron Central School will transport students during the 2025-26 school year to non-public schools, which are located within the statutory fifteen-mile limit.  To qualify for the transportation, the following requirements must be met:

  1. Requests must be filed in the District Office, 47 Bloomingdale Avenue, on or before April 1, 2025.
  2. Families moving into the district after April 1 must file a request within 30 days of residence.
  3. The distance must be measured from the student’s residence along the nearest available route to the school.
