ELEMENTARY COMPUTER LAB SPECIAL

  • computer work station My name is Mrs. Dojnik and I look forward to another exciting year with our students! This is my 26th year working at Akron Central Schools.  I live in Akron, NY with my husband, Rick, and our two doxies. I have two adult children and five grandchildren who all live in Akron!

Your child will come to the computer lab on their specials day. The lab is located on the second floor in the Elementary building. Our students visit the lab on a 6 day cycle (A-F).

Our lab has 30 student workstations and a teacher workstation.

Overhead projectors with Smartboards are available in labs and classrooms for teacher instruction.

The labs are used on a daily basis.  Classes are always looking for ways to support N.Y.S. common core.

Our Kindergarten, first, second, and third Grades use the labs to reinforce their math and literacy skills taught in the classroom. They enjoy Starfall, Pebble go, Brain Popjr, ABCya,Tumblebooks and much more. :) Go Noodle is always a great way to move around and take a fun break!

Fourth and fifth grades use the lab to work on several programs each year. To name a few, the students like Zearn, Brain Pop, Newsela, Discovery Education, Accelerated Reader/Math.  Students also enjoy typing club and typetastic for Keyboarding, Culture Grams, World Book online and much more. Mystery Doug science keeps us current on a lot of different topics.
