Akron Middle School's music ensembles competed once again at the Six Flags Darien Lake Music Festival held May 31st.  The 6th Grade Band placed 1st in their category and also walked away with the Grand Judge's Award - the award that goes to the group with the highest score in their audition site for the day! Both the 7th & 8th Grade Band and the Middle School Orchestra received 3rd Place!  Although the Middle School Chorus didn't place, they earned a fantastic score of 97.8.  Following their performances, students enjoyed the remainder of the day at the theme park!
