    LMC closed today.

    Mr. Bardo’s lessons are cancelled for today.

    During the Chinese Lunar New Year Celebration to be held on January 27th, and 31st, in the Library Media Center, loaner Chromebooks will be distributed from the Technology Office in room M212.  Thank you for your cooperation.

    We would like to wish a Happy Birthday today to: Kiernan Regan.  This weekend wishes go out to: Emily fox, Rebecca Higgins, Collin Miller, Nicholas Fry, Muira Kreher and Emily Poeller.

    Lunch for today is: stuffed crust pepperoni pizza, carrotinis, fruit juice treat, fruit juice and fresh fruit.

    •  Attention Seniors:  The Akron Newstead Senior Center has invited ACS Seniors to attend a Senior Valentine's Day Dance. This will be a heartwarming community event!  It is from 5-7:30 on Tuesday, Feb 14th at the Senior Center on Cummings Road. Dinner from Terra House will be served at 5pm and a DJ/ photo booth begins at 5:30.  There is no cost to attend. Students can get dressed up a bit, have a nice dinner, and connect with some members of our community. If interested, please sign up in the HS main office by 02/01/2023. 
    • The National Honor Society Induction Ceremony that was postponed on January 25th has been rescheduled for Wed., February 1st at 6:00 pm in the Auditorium.
    • Congratulations to the following on being accepted into college: Madison Brege- Kean Univ.; Martha Miller-Salisbury, GCC, Brockport and Buffalo State; Morgan Towlson- Oswego; Hayden Rapp- Univ. of Buffalo; Cydney Brandl- Alfred State.
    • Attention all Spanish Club members.  Please meet on Thursday, Feb. 2 at the beginning of 9th period in Mrs. Quinones' room.  We need to take a quick group photo for the yearbook. This will only take 10 minutes.  
    • Scholastic Bowl news: Our canceled match will be made up Monday night January 30th.  The lineup will be Ella Liss, Whitley Koopman, Noah Crockford, alternates Hunter Sears and Hayden Wight.  The action will start at 5:05 on 1340 AM or 105.3 FM or WLVL.com.  We also have three more meets next week, please check the online schedule.  We are in action again on Tuesday with a lineup of Alexis Hoffman, Carly Hoffman, Noah Crockford, alternates Eva Lombard and Hunter Sears.  Now for the question of the day:  Which animal has the most powerful bite in the world??

    In Athletics:

    • Last night the girls swim team competed in the Niagara Orleans All League Championship Swim Meet. As a team the girls had 22 best times. These best times came from high school students Olivia McClaine, Mayah Harris, Megan Gates, Emily Snyder, Macie Matusek and Morgan Tomporowski. And middle school students Madigan Regan, Avery Haak and Audrey Garverick. The team won 6 out of 11 events including the 200 medley relay won by Garverick, Harris, Szczygielski and Gates, 200 IM won by Garverick, 100 fly won by Harris, 500 free won by Garverick, 200 Free Relay won by Garverick, Gates, Harris and Szczygielski, and 100 breast won by Harris. The girls will compete in their last meet of the season on February 3, at Gate-Chili for the Crossover Meet. Good luck Tigersharks!
